Nous avons beaucoup aprecier le charme de la maison. Beaucoup de place dehors comme dedans. Propreté irréprochable, on se sent bien et a l'aise tout se suite.Très bien equipée. Moyen de transport
conseillé mais Uber/Taxi faisable si on a pas trop la bougeote. Recommande vivement.

This property is fantastic and we had a great time there. The house is equipped as if the owner lives there (knives are good quality and sharp, there’s toys for kids, beach stuff for the entire
family) and they clearly have great taste. The property is actually even nicer than the pictures show, and my wife and I feel as if we discovered a hidden gem. It’s about 30min from the beach, but we
actually loved that. It’s in a secluded area where you can slow down and enjoy the quiet of the country side, and driving 30min instead of 10min to get to the beach didn’t bother us at all. We’ve
saved this property in our favorites and will definitely be coming back.

Eine Woche traumhaftes Wohnen in Quinta du Grou. Wir waren 7 Rennradler und sind jeden Tag ein paar Stunden unterwegs gewesen. Abends haben wir das Haus genossen, gekocht und getrunken, jeden Morgen
auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt mit dem traumhaften Blick zur Küste. Das Haus ist schon ein Kleinod. Man sieht ihm sofort an, dass hier mit viel Liebe gebaut wurde und die Ausstattung ist sehr hübsch
und charmant. Wir werden gerne mal wieder eine Woche unser Radlerheim besuchen. Auch wegen der treuen Hausseele, einer alten Katze, die wir wohl etwas zu sehr verwöhnt haben.

Wir haben hier zu zweit dreieinhalb fantastische Wochen (August-September) verbracht. Die Bilder zeigen exakt den schönen Ferienplatz. Doch für die Atmosphäre muss man schon hier sein! Das Haus liegt
sehr ruhig in einem riesigen Garten. Von den tollen Plätzen im Garten hat man einen Blick über die ganze Gegend bis hin zum Meer. Den ganzen Tag hat man Sonne und abends einen stillen Platz um
unvergeßliche Sonnenuntergänge zu genießen. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles was man für einen bequemen Urlaub braucht gibt es hier. Spiele, Strandsachen, Waschmaschine,
etc. Toll! Wir haben in noch keinem Urlaub so oft und gerne gekocht und „zu Hause" gegessen, wie in diesem. Die Küche lädt einfach dazu ein ��. Die Katze und den Baby-Fuchs hatten wir sehr schnell
ins Herz geschlossen. Der scheue Fuchs hat sich jeden Abend sein Würstchen abgeholt und mit Begeisterung der Katze das Futter weggefressen �.
Die Kommunikation mit Daniel ist sehr einfach und schnell. Er ist ein toller Gastgeber. Daniels Haus ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Danke, Daniel. Schade, dass der Urlaub
schon wieder vorbei ist.

„If you want peace and quiet with fantastic views this is the place to stay. Daniels communication is fantastic and having never booked through Air bnb befor it was a big gamble booking our family
holiday. He instantly put my mind at rest and was very professional but personable at the same time. The house was lovely and clean and had plenty of bedding etc, washing machine fantastic. The kids
used the pool most days and it was nice just to feel at home with plenty of space, just the rest we needed.“

This is a very warm and cozy old house in the Algarve region. We greatly enjoyed cooking in a very well-equipped kitchen and dinners out on the terrace. Kids loved to play in the pool. One concern we
had, which we knew about in advance, is the distance to the beautiful beaches of the region, at least 30 mins by car and often more. So we often chose to spend the day in the garden, which is very
nice. Daniel was very helpful and receptive to our needs.

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans la villa de Daniel. Sa villa est très bien équipée, il ne manque absolument rien. J'ai adoré la décoration et la propreté. La villa est très bien située
dans la campagne, au calme et avec une vue imprenable (une voiture est nécessaire). Toutes les pièces de la maison sont vraiment agréables. Le jardin est super, très étendu, avec une piscine et doté
de transats. Daniel est un hôte super, très sympathique et très arrangeant. Si je retourne en Algarve je loue sa maison sans problème.

We - a family of 5 - spent 10 days at Quinta do Grou in February and can only echo what's already been said by everyone else! The house is spacious and had everything we could wish for; a fully
equipped kitchen, comfy beds, good showers, LOTS of toys (Lego, Duplo, BRIO, etc) - which came in handy on a rainy day - books and games (in German), pencils and paper, beach toys and shades, and a
huge garden. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a great deal outside, but mornings and evenings were still fresh. However, there is a big wood stove which heats up the place nicely and it
became tradition to light a fire with the whole family as soon as the sun started setting, making our evenings very cosy. From the kitchen and upper sitting area you have an amazing view over the
hills all the way to the sea (beautiful sunsets can be seen! as well as starry nights). Lovely neighbouring villages and within short driving distance from Faro, Tavira and Olhao and its beaches
(also, check out Daniel's recommendations on this website, helpful and fun!). Daniel is very responsive and considerate and takes good care of the house.
We can only dream of what it must be like to visit in summer time (the pool!) though one can really visit all year round and have a lovely time. We can recommend staying here without any hesitation
and hope to be back one day. Thank you Daniel!

We stayed for a week in Daniels accomodation in November. We had a lovely time here and really enjoyed our stay. The house is situated in a beautiful and quiet area, but yet near to everything you
need. We highly appreciated the cozy nights near the fire place, the beautiful views and using the kitchen to prepare our meals with local ingredients and of course the warmth of the November sun in
the Algarve. Daniel was very responsive and provided us with useful details and a local contact in case of trouble. We have not had the opportunity to meet Daniel which I think is a pity. If you love
a quiet and spacious house but yet want to be near all amenities and around 30 minutes from the best beaches, this would definitly be your place to stay. Any downsides? Not really, the house might be
a bit hard to find, since google maps did not really know the location. But the directions from Daniel made it easy to find for us.“

Unser Aufenthalt in der Quinta do Grou hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Das Grundstück ist sehr weitläufig und toll eingewachsen, das Haus ist ursprünglich und komfortabel zugleich und mit viel
Liebe und Stilgefühl eingerichet. Unsere Kinder haben sich besonders über den Swimmingpool, die vielen Spielsachen und Bücher und die süße Katze gefreut, die uns während unseres Aufenhaltes jeden Tag
auf der Terrasse besucht hat.
Durch die gute Lage kann man viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung machen: tolle Strände, pittoreske Städtchen und schöne Wanderungen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren zusammen mit Freunden im Oktober in der Quinta do Grou. Im Vergleich zu den früheren Besuchen hat das Grundstück durch den netten kleinen Pool sogar noch einmal gewonnen. Das Haus ist
wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet und die Kinder konnten draußen auf dem großen Grundstück spielen, während wir unter dem Olivenbaum saßen und Portwein tranken. Herrlich! Zu den großartigen
Stränden der Algarve sind es nur 30 Minuten zu fahren und man kann sich jeden Tag einen anderen Strand aussuchen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Wir waren Ende Juli / Anfang August 2 Wochen mit unseren beiden Söhnen ( 10 & 13 ) und unserer Freundin und ihrem Sohn ( 11 ) in der Quinta do Grou die Ferien verbringen. Es war traumhaft schön.
Ein Ort an dem man wirklich mal die "Seele baumeln" lassen kann. Das Haus mit dem schönen Garten bietet genug Platz, so dass jeder auch mal seine Ruhe für sich genießen konnte. Wir haben fast jeden
Tag Ausflüge an der schönen Algarve unternommen und man freute sich dennoch jeden Nachmittag / Abend aufs Neue, wieder Heim zu kommen. Da es sehr heiß war, war der hauseigene Pool natürlich immer
eine prima Erfrischung, sowohl für uns wie auch für unsere Teenager ;-) Besonders erholsam ist die schöne Ruhe und der wundervolle Blick, begleitet durch Grillenkonzerte und Uhu Gesang, tagsüber ein
Hahn in der Nachbarschaft. Hier hat man das Gefühl, die Welt ist noch in Ordnung! Abends genossen wir unter freiem Sternenhimmel, mit tollem Blick auf Faro und seine bunten Lichter, gerne ein gutes
Glas Wein. Und die portugiesischen Weine sind vorzüglich! Diese Abende werden wir jedenfalls auch sehr vermissen. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, was die Selbstverpflegung sehr angenehm machte.
Wir waren alle sehr traurig, als der Urlaub zu Ende ging. Wir kommen sicher eines Tages wieder

Daniels Unterkunft ist ein Traum!! Wir haben einen wunderschönen Familienurlaub auf Daniels Anwesen gebracht und wollten am Ende gar nicht nach Hause fahren. Das Haus ist äußerst großzügig und für
sechs Personen sehr angenehm zu bewohnen. Bemerkenswert ist die tolle Ausstattung: In der Küche fehlt es an nichts, um tolle Abendessen zuzubereiten, die auf der Terasse mit dem wunderschönen Blicks
ins Tal genossen werden können. Das ganze Haus ist voller Bücher und Spiele. Der Pool ist eine angenehme Möglichkeit zur Mittagszeit abzukühlen und eine gute Alternative, wenn man mal einen Tag nicht
bis zum Strand fahren möchte. Doch nicht nur das Haus und der wunderschöne Grundstück haben uns den Urlaub versüßt, auch die unkomplizierte und immer schnelle Kommunikation mit Daniel war sehr
angenehm. Für Tipps, wie die Zeit außerhalb der "Quinta do Grou" verbracht werden kann, ist Daniels Website sehr zu empfehlen. Besonders gut haben uns die Strände Praia do Alfamar und (etwas näher)
der Strand von Loule gefallen. Wir können Daniels Unterkunft nur jedem ans Herz legen!“

La maison est vraiment magnifique, le cadre est parfait avec une vue sublime.
La maison est très aérée et ne manque de rien, 2 salles de bain, 4 chambres doubles.
Le jardin est un vrai havre de paix, sans vis à vis.
Daniel est un hôte que nous n'avons pas rencontré physiquement mais qui a été disponible tout le long de notre séjour et très attentif à notre bien être.
Merci beaucoup, nous gardons cette adresse dans un coin de notre tête !

of lovely details.
Daniel and his mate Neale are very caring and highly responsive. Hike trips as well as Faro, Olhao and various beaches are within reach - even with impatient children ;-)

Our stay in this OUTSTANDING place was truly amazing! The house is so spacious and stylish and has such a great chilled vibe, we felt at home instantly and slept like little babies in the amazing
quiet bedrooms. The kitchen is great also, we are big fan of cooking ourselves and so we did every night. Lots of equipment and herbs and everything else you need is already stocked up in the
shelves. We spent 5 nights and 6 days here and it felt like a dream with four friends, a pool, a beautiful big lush garden and two beautiful beaches on 45 min drive (Praia da Marinha and Praia da
Benagil are recommendations, especially when it's not high season yet). We had the time of our lives. Daniel and his caretaker Neale responded were very communicative and responded very quick to
everything. Normally we don't go to the same place twice but we are definitely coming back to this one. An absolute gem!

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus mit riesigen, schönen Garten in sehr ruhiger Lage. Von der Terrasse sieht man das Meer und Abends den Sonnenuntergang. Unsere Kinder konnten den ganzen Tag auf dem weitläufigen
Gelände spielen. Der offene Wohn- und Essbereich ist lichtdurchflutet. Die Bilder entsprechend wirklich der Realität. Die Strände in der Umgebung laden zum verweilen ein. Unser 14-tägiger Urlaub über
Ostern war sehr entspannend. Wir sind begeistert und werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen.

Terrific weekend with the boys. Perfect combination of relaxing time in the outskirts of Faro but close enough to the beaches, surrounding neat villages, and Saturday night life in Faro... Loved it,
especially the interior and the brand new pool! Only bummer was the weather, but hey - it's April. And as Arnie likes to say: WE WILL BE BACK!

This is a very warm and cozy old house in the Algarve region. We greatly enjoyed cooking in a very well-equipped kitchen and dinners out on the terrace. Kids loved to play in the pool. One concern we had, which we knew about in advance, is the distance to the beautiful beaches of the region, at least 30 mins by car and often more. So we often chose to spend the day in the garden, which is very nice. Daniel was very helpful and receptive to our needs.

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans la villa de Daniel. Sa villa est très bien équipée, il ne manque absolument rien. J'ai adoré la décoration et la propreté. La villa est très bien située dans la campagne, au calme et avec une vue imprenable (une voiture est nécessaire). Toutes les pièces de la maison sont vraiment agréables. Le jardin est super, très étendu, avec une piscine et doté de transats. Daniel est un hôte super, très sympathique et très arrangeant. Si je retourne en Algarve je loue sa maison sans problème.

„Daniel's place was lovely, a very well equipped and beautiful villa set in a stunning location. We particularly loved the extensive grounds and great views. The villa is in an idea location, nice and quiet and set in the country, but still very accessible for shops etc with a car. Despite the unfortunately poor weather, we had a really lovely stay there and made full use of the wonderful fire! Daniel was very helpful and informative, even checking in with us throughout our visit to make sure that we didn't have any issues. Tracey and Neale were also very accommodating. We - a family of 5 - spent 10 days at Quinta do Grou in February and can only echo what's already been said by everyone else! The house is spacious and had everything we could wish for; a fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, good showers, LOTS of toys (Lego, Duplo, BRIO, etc) - which came in handy on a rainy day - books and games (in German), pencils and paper, beach toys and shades, and a huge garden. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a great deal outside, but mornings and evenings were still fresh. However, there is a big wood stove which heats up the place nicely and it became tradition to light a fire with the whole family as soon as the sun started setting, making our evenings very cosy. From the kitchen and upper sitting area you have an amazing view over the hills all the way to the sea (beautiful sunsets can be seen! as well as starry nights). Lovely neighbouring villages and within short driving distance from Faro, Tavira and Olhao and its beaches (also, check out Daniel's recommendations on this website, helpful and fun!). Daniel is very responsive and considerate and takes good care of the house.
We can only dream of what it must be like to visit in summer time (the pool!) though one can really visit all year round and have a lovely time. We can recommend staying here without any hesitation and hope to be back one day. Thank you Daniel!

We stayed for a week in Daniels accomodation in November. We had a lovely time here and really enjoyed our stay. The house is situated in a beautiful and quiet area, but yet near to everything you need. We highly appreciated the cozy nights near the fire place, the beautiful views and using the kitchen to prepare our meals with local ingredients and of course the warmth of the November sun in the Algarve. Daniel was very responsive and provided us with useful details and a local contact in case of trouble. We have not had the opportunity to meet Daniel which I think is a pity. If you love a quiet and spacious house but yet want to be near all amenities and around 30 minutes from the best beaches, this would definitly be your place to stay. Any downsides? Not really, the house might be a bit hard to find, since google maps did not really know the location. But the directions from Daniel made it easy to find for us.“

Unser Aufenthalt in der Quinta do Grou hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Das Grundstück ist sehr weitläufig und toll eingewachsen, das Haus ist ursprünglich und komfortabel zugleich und mit viel Liebe und Stilgefühl eingerichet. Unsere Kinder haben sich besonders über den Swimmingpool, die vielen Spielsachen und Bücher und die süße Katze gefreut, die uns während unseres Aufenhaltes jeden Tag auf der Terrasse besucht hat.
Durch die gute Lage kann man viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung machen: tolle Strände, pittoreske Städtchen und schöne Wanderungen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren zusammen mit Freunden im Oktober in der Quinta do Grou. Im Vergleich zu den früheren Besuchen hat das Grundstück durch den netten kleinen Pool sogar noch einmal gewonnen. Das Haus ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet und die Kinder konnten draußen auf dem großen Grundstück spielen, während wir unter dem Olivenbaum saßen und Portwein tranken. Herrlich! Zu den großartigen Stränden der Algarve sind es nur 30 Minuten zu fahren und man kann sich jeden Tag einen anderen Strand aussuchen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

„Wir haben hier abseits vom Trubel der Küste vier herrliche Tage zu zweit zugebracht. In diesem alten ,toll renovierten Bauernhaus mit herrlicher Aussicht bis zum Meer ,viel Raum um Abstand zu gewinnen fühlten wir uns sehr wohl! Die Fotos zeigen es sehr gut. Das Buchen und alles organisatorische ging reibungslos und schnell. Vielen Dank Daniel! Wir wollen gerne wiederkommen.

„This is a lovely, peaceful place. In a very private location and great to get away from it all. There is a lovely pool and a surprising amount of land to enjoy the great views! It is an extremely well stocked house with good facilities for children. We had a wonderful 10 days here and would recommend without hesitation.“

Wir waren Ende Juli / Anfang August 2 Wochen mit unseren beiden Söhnen ( 10 & 13 ) und unserer Freundin und ihrem Sohn ( 11 ) in der Quinta do Grou die Ferien verbringen. Es war traumhaft schön. Ein Ort an dem man wirklich mal die "Seele baumeln" lassen kann. Das Haus mit dem schönen Garten bietet genug Platz, so dass jeder auch mal seine Ruhe für sich genießen konnte. Wir haben fast jeden Tag Ausflüge an der schönen Algarve unternommen und man freute sich dennoch jeden Nachmittag / Abend aufs Neue, wieder Heim zu kommen. Da es sehr heiß war, war der hauseigene Pool natürlich immer eine prima Erfrischung, sowohl für uns wie auch für unsere Teenager ;-) Besonders erholsam ist die schöne Ruhe und der wundervolle Blick, begleitet durch Grillenkonzerte und Uhu Gesang, tagsüber ein Hahn in der Nachbarschaft. Hier hat man das Gefühl, die Welt ist noch in Ordnung! Abends genossen wir unter freiem Sternenhimmel, mit tollem Blick auf Faro und seine bunten Lichter, gerne ein gutes Glas Wein. Und die portugiesischen Weine sind vorzüglich! Diese Abende werden wir jedenfalls auch sehr vermissen. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, was die Selbstverpflegung sehr angenehm machte. Wir waren alle sehr traurig, als der Urlaub zu Ende ging. Wir kommen sicher eines Tages wieder

Daniels Unterkunft ist ein Traum!! Wir haben einen wunderschönen Familienurlaub auf Daniels Anwesen gebracht und wollten am Ende gar nicht nach Hause fahren. Das Haus ist äußerst großzügig und für sechs Personen sehr angenehm zu bewohnen. Bemerkenswert ist die tolle Ausstattung: In der Küche fehlt es an nichts, um tolle Abendessen zuzubereiten, die auf der Terasse mit dem wunderschönen Blicks ins Tal genossen werden können. Das ganze Haus ist voller Bücher und Spiele. Der Pool ist eine angenehme Möglichkeit zur Mittagszeit abzukühlen und eine gute Alternative, wenn man mal einen Tag nicht bis zum Strand fahren möchte. Doch nicht nur das Haus und der wunderschöne Grundstück haben uns den Urlaub versüßt, auch die unkomplizierte und immer schnelle Kommunikation mit Daniel war sehr angenehm. Für Tipps, wie die Zeit außerhalb der "Quinta do Grou" verbracht werden kann, ist Daniels Website sehr zu empfehlen. Besonders gut haben uns die Strände Praia do Alfamar und (etwas näher) der Strand von Loule gefallen. Wir können Daniels Unterkunft nur jedem ans Herz legen!“

La maison est vraiment magnifique, le cadre est parfait avec une vue sublime.
La maison est très aérée et ne manque de rien, 2 salles de bain, 4 chambres doubles.
Le jardin est un vrai havre de paix, sans vis à vis.
Daniel est un hôte que nous n'avons pas rencontré physiquement mais qui a été disponible tout le long de notre séjour et très attentif à notre bien être.
Merci beaucoup, nous gardons cette adresse dans un coin de notre tête !

We've spent one wonderful week with our children and a chummy couple. It's a marvelous place to be, relaxing surrounding and breathtaking landscape ... The house with its rural character holds lots of lovely details.
Daniel and his mate Neale are very caring and highly responsive. Hike trips as well as Faro, Olhao and various beaches are within reach - even with impatient children ;-)

Our stay in this OUTSTANDING place was truly amazing! The house is so spacious and stylish and has such a great chilled vibe, we felt at home instantly and slept like little babies in the amazing quiet bedrooms. The kitchen is great also, we are big fan of cooking ourselves and so we did every night. Lots of equipment and herbs and everything else you need is already stocked up in the shelves. We spent 5 nights and 6 days here and it felt like a dream with four friends, a pool, a beautiful big lush garden and two beautiful beaches on 45 min drive (Praia da Marinha and Praia da Benagil are recommendations, especially when it's not high season yet). We had the time of our lives. Daniel and his caretaker Neale responded were very communicative and responded very quick to everything. Normally we don't go to the same place twice but we are definitely coming back to this one. An absolute gem!

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus mit riesigen, schönen Garten in sehr ruhiger Lage. Von der Terrasse sieht man das Meer und Abends den Sonnenuntergang. Unsere Kinder konnten den ganzen Tag auf dem weitläufigen Gelände spielen. Der offene Wohn- und Essbereich ist lichtdurchflutet. Die Bilder entsprechend wirklich der Realität. Die Strände in der Umgebung laden zum verweilen ein. Unser 14-tägiger Urlaub über Ostern war sehr entspannend. Wir sind begeistert und werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen.

We had a lovely stay at this charming Algarve home. The location is calm and relaxed, just perfect for unplugging from the rat race! The photographs don't do the space justice. We like to cook and really enjoyed the kitchen. Check in was smooth and easy, and answers to any questions were just a phone call away. We will definitely return!

Loved it, especially the interior and the brand new pool! Only bummer was the weather, but hey - it's April. And as Arnie likes to say: WE WILL BE BACK!

AMAZING place to relax and discover the Algarves. Close to Faro and surrounded by very nice small villages. The House is exactly as on the picture : charming, very quiet, with a beautifull view on the valley and the sea. Perfect place to discover the region. Daniel was very reactive and very helpfull to facilitated our arrival. We wish we'll be able to come back very soon ! Thank you Daniel we had a wondefull time!
